Golden Ears was booked solid all summer. Got the alert on a Tuesday morning, clicked the link, and had a lakeside site for the long weekend two minutes later.

I used to refresh the BC Parks site during my lunch break every single day. Now my computer does it every three seconds and texts me. Camped at Rathtrevor twice this year.

The site-level filters are the best part — we need a pull-through pad for the trailer, and it only pings us for sites that actually fit. Zero wasted alerts.

Everything you need to know about watching BC Parks campsites.

How fast will I know about a cancellation?

The monitor checks the BC Parks availability API every 3 seconds by default (configurable). The moment a site you’re watching frees up, you get an email, an SMS, and a desktop notification with a direct booking link.

Does it book the site for me?

No — and that’s on purpose. The notification link opens the official BC Parks page with your park, dates, and equipment pre-filled. You pick the site and complete checkout yourself, so your account never does anything a real person wouldn’t.

Which parks are supported?

Every park that’s reservable on camping.bcparks.ca — about 145 of them. The list is pulled live from BC Parks, so new parks show up automatically.

Can I watch more than one campground at a time?

Yes. Create as many requests as you like — different parks, different dates, different site filters. Each one is monitored independently.

What do “arrival dates” mean?

They’re the days you’re willing to start your stay. If you want a weekend trip, select only the Friday and set nights to 2. Fewer nights means more possible matches.

Is this affiliated with BC Parks?

No. This is a personal, local tool that reads the same public availability data the reservation website shows everyone. Be considerate with polling frequency, and always complete bookings through the official site.
